How Warranty Coverage Works

Fuji Euro Parts sells products from a range of automotive manufacturers and suppliers. Individual products may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials, workmanship or other specified issues.

Manufacturer warranty periods, conditions, exclusions and claim procedures can differ between brands and products. Where applicable, product-specific warranty information may be provided on the product listing, product documentation or by the manufacturer.

Manufacturer Warranty

An additional promise provided by a manufacturer for a specified period and subject to the manufacturer's stated terms and conditions.

Australian Consumer Law

Automatic consumer rights that apply independently of any voluntary manufacturer's warranty and cannot be excluded by store policy or warranty terms.

A manufacturer's warranty expiry does not automatically end your consumer rights.

Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law may continue for a reasonable period depending on factors such as the nature, price, quality and expected durability of the product.

Australian Consumer Guarantees

Products sold to consumers in Australia come with automatic consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Among other things, goods must generally:

  • be of acceptable quality;
  • be safe, durable and free from unacceptable defects;
  • match their description;
  • match any sample or demonstration model where applicable;
  • be fit for their normal purpose; and
  • be fit for a particular purpose that you made known to us where you reasonably relied on our advice or recommendation.

These rights apply automatically and are separate from any manufacturer's warranty provided with a product.

Who Do I Contact?

If you purchased a product from Fuji Euro Parts and believe there is a problem with it, you can contact us directly.

We may communicate with the manufacturer, distributor or supplier while assessing a claim, but you are not required to independently resolve an Australian Consumer Law claim with the manufacturer simply because we are a reseller.

Some manufacturers may also provide customers with a direct manufacturer warranty claim process. Using that process does not remove any rights you may otherwise have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Making a Warranty or Product Claim

To help us assess your claim efficiently, please contact us with as much relevant information as reasonably possible.

We may request:

  • your Fuji Euro Parts order number or other proof of purchase;
  • the product name and manufacturer part number;
  • vehicle make, model, year and relevant variant information;
  • a clear description of the problem;
  • photos or video demonstrating the issue;
  • information about installation, adjustment or vehicle modifications where relevant to determining the cause of the problem; and
  • reasonable diagnostic or installer information where it is genuinely required to assess the claim.
Please retain the product.

Do not dispose of, dismantle beyond what is reasonably necessary, or return the product without instructions while a claim is being assessed. We may need the product or relevant components for inspection.

Our Claim Process

  1. Contact Fuji Euro Parts Provide your order details and a description of the issue.
  2. Initial assessment We review the information provided and may request additional photos, video, installation information or diagnostics where reasonably required.
  3. Product inspection if required In some cases, the product may need to be returned or inspected before the cause of the problem and appropriate remedy can be determined.
  4. Resolution Once assessed, we will advise the applicable repair, replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with the relevant warranty terms and Australian Consumer Law.

Installation, Adjustment & Vehicle Modification

Many products sold by Fuji Euro Parts are performance, suspension, drivetrain or other specialist automotive components. Correct installation, adjustment and use can be important to product performance and safety.

Where appropriate, we recommend installation by a suitably qualified or experienced automotive professional and following all manufacturer instructions, torque specifications and maintenance requirements.

A product problem caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accident, inappropriate adjustment, unauthorised modification, neglect or use outside the product's intended application may not be covered by a manufacturer's warranty and may not constitute a failure of a consumer guarantee.

Installation alone does not automatically remove your rights.

A product will not be denied consideration under the Australian Consumer Law merely because it has been installed. The circumstances and cause of the reported problem must be considered.

Competition & Off-Road Products

Some performance products may be manufactured, supplied or warranted for competition, motorsport or off-road use only. Any such restriction or manufacturer warning should be reviewed before purchase and installation.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products fitted to their vehicle are suitable and lawful for their intended use, including compliance with applicable registration, roadworthiness and vehicle modification requirements.

Product-specific manufacturer warnings or usage limitations do not exclude any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Assessment & Return Costs

Fuji Euro Parts may reasonably assess a product before providing a remedy where the nature or cause of the reported problem needs to be confirmed.

If a product is confirmed to have a problem covered by the Australian Consumer Law, reasonable return costs already paid by the customer will be handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

For products that are large, heavy or otherwise difficult to return, responsibility for collection or transport will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law requirements.

If an assessment determines that the product does not have the reported fault, or the issue was caused by circumstances not attributable to the product, any applicable inspection or transport costs will only be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and after appropriate information has been provided to the customer.

Repair, Replacement or Refund

The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances and whether a product failure is considered major or minor under the Australian Consumer Law.

Major problems

Where a product has a major problem under the Australian Consumer Law, the consumer may generally choose between a refund or replacement.

Minor problems

Where a problem is not major, the business is generally entitled to provide an appropriate remedy, such as repairing the product within a reasonable time.

If a minor problem cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, further rights may become available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Manufacturer Warranty Terms

Manufacturer warranties are provided by the relevant manufacturer and may contain their own warranty periods, claim procedures, maintenance requirements and exclusions.

Where a manufacturer warranty applies, those terms operate in addition to your Australian Consumer Law rights and do not replace or restrict those rights.

We recommend retaining your Fuji Euro Parts order confirmation together with any warranty cards, installation instructions and documentation supplied with the product.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
